Legal Writing & Legal Analysis course with a world-class U.S. law professor

The Center for American Studies would like to invite you to participate in a certified weekend course with a U.S. law professor, Susan DeJarnatt,  titled "Legal Writing & Legal Analysis".

The goal of the course is simple: you will master the art of complex legal writing, starting from analyzing the law and convincingly presenting the facts of your case, ending with structuring your legal argumentation in a powerful and effective manner.

The course will teach you legal writing both from a general perspective (logic and clarity of writing) and detailed perspective (organization of paragraphs and sentences, transitions, grammar, punctuation, and style).

During the course you will learn both persuasive writing (pleadings, appellate briefs) and objective writing (legal opinions/memoranda). The focus of the course will be on persuasive legal writing.

Despite the course being taught in English, knowing clear and concise American methods of legal writing will be conducive to your domestic legal practice.

The course will be held on Zoom on Friday (December 6) and on Saturday (December 7) on Zoom. Exact hours are provided below.

Because our "Legal Writing & Legal Analysis" course taught by Prof. Susan L. DeJarnatt is strictly practical.

➤ You will learn the characteristics of and skills necessary for formal objective and persuasive legal writing.

➤ You will learn effective strategies for applying legal principles to client facts and for communicating legal reasoning in writing.

➤ You will learn how to improve your legal writing through the rewriting and revising process.

➤ And more!
