business-law-2

The Center For American Studies would like to invite you to participate in an intensive 3-hour Practical Legal English course on Business Law (Forms of Business Organizations and Corporate Law) with an American attorney and law professor, Shawn Bayern (alumnus of Yale and Berkeley).

Legal English is indispensable for modern lawyers. Knowing it allows you to gain new clients and represent them more effectively in international legal proceedings, and become more effective when dealing with foreign contractors, business partners, and employees.

If you are tired of boring Legal English courses devoid of any real legal context taught by non-lawyers "cramming" dry textbook formulas into your head, you are in the right place!

The course takes place on Thursday, May 23, 2024,  on the intuitive Zoom platform.

You will finish the course equipped with:

✓ Knowledge of basic and advanced forms of Business Organizations and Corporate Law terminology;

✓ Useful legal phrases that can be applied in real-life every-day practice;

✓ Understanding a variety of contexts in which Business Organizations and Corporate Law terminology is used;

✓ Ability to analyze complex legal documents (pleadings, briefs, contracts, and many others);

✓ Increased fluency and confidence in the use of written and verbal legal English;

✓ Set of skills necessary to pass the TOLES exam (The Test of Legal English Skills).
